Well DressedThe classroom was lit by an indirect afternoon light streaming through clearstory windows. Not the best place to do reading, but no one was going to be doing much in the way of reading today, anyways.Well Dressed
Our class was to meet with a very special group that had arrived from a long distance away. The members of this group dressed in the finest of clothes. Dark suits of the most expensive looking cloth imaginable. Not a wrinkle or crease in sight. Each one wore a fashionable broad tie and a classy looking white dress shirt.
I’m not usually impressed by how people dress, but this time I made an exception to this rule.

I was outside when The Shift took place. The Shift was the name that many of my kind have come to call the most momentous event in human history, so far. I was hiking along a public trail that passes by several farm houses on that fate filled day. It was in the afternoon in my time-zone when The Shift occurred.
